Introduction
CostUI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) publishes free UI/UX design calculators, guides, and reference content at costui.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have built the site to work with as little personal data as possible.
Information We Collect
Information our tools do not collect
The color contrast checker, px/rem converter, type scale generator, color shades generator, spacing scale generator, and aspect ratio calculator all run client-side in your browser. The colors, sizes, ratios, and dimensions you enter are processed on your device and are never transmitted to, or stored by, us. Using the tools does not require an account.
Information you choose to provide
Newsletter: If you submit your email address to our subscribe form, we store that address and basic signup metadata (such as the page you signed up from and a timestamp) so we can send the emails you asked for. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.
Direct email: If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we keep it only as long as needed to handle your request.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics may record standard technical details such as browser type, device type, referring page, and a truncated or anonymized IP address, used to keep the site secure and understand aggregate traffic. We do not use this to build a personal profile of you.
How We Use Information
- To send the newsletter to people who requested it, and to respond to messages.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website and its tools.
- To display advertising that keeps the site free.
- To comply with legal obligations where they apply.
We do not sell your personal information.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s Privacy
CostUI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
